About The Author
Jarrett Culver
Jarrett Culver is a rising star guard, who made his explosive NBA debut with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2019 after being crowned Big 12 Player of the Year and the #6 overall pick in the NBA Draft that same year. The former Texas Tech standout had a memorable collegiate career, leading the Red Raiders to back-to-back Elite Eight appearances and their first NCAA Championship appearance.
Culver has an extremely close relationship with his parents and his brothers, both of whom have also made their marks in the sports arena. The family has deeply seeded roots in Lubbock, TX, where Jarrett’s father, Hiawatha Culver, is pastor of Rising Star Baptist Church and serves as chaplain for the Texas Tech team. He credits his father with bestowing his strong faith upon him, as well as his passion for sharing it with others.
With a mission to give back and make an impact in the world, Jarrett created The Culver Foundation in 2020. Built on the pillars of faith, family, community, and legacy, the foundation uses the power of his platform to make a difference in the local community.
